The Villa was designed to take advantage of the wonderful northeast trade winds and ocean views. Tranquil Tides Villa features an expansive view of the ocean from both the first and second floors. The interior and exterior living spaces have romantic lighting options and oversized comfortable furniture.
The Villa highlights a spacious 750 square foot great room that opens to the first floor pool and deck areas with both covered and uncovered porches. Tranquil Tides was decorated throughout with designer fabrics and furniture such as Laneventure and Bauer International. Many seating and reclining options surround a large flat screen TV and DVD player. Included in this two and a half story great room, is a custom crafted mahogany bar, built by a famous local boatbuilder and carpenter. It is stocked with crystal stemware and tumblers and overlooks the beautiful water of the Shoal Bay East. A dramatic balcony with a tropical green heart wood vaulted ceiling adds to the luxurious island decor. The Villa also features a first floor exercise room with treadmill, stationary bike, weights, cable TV and DVD player.
The kitchen features a dual fuel GE monogram professional range, granite countertops, and custom crafted mahogany cabinetry. Chef quality cooking utensils, and All-Clad gourmet cookware are included. It is decorated with hand painted ceramic tiles from Italy. The dining room includes an expandable dining table that seats 10-12 adults. Laneventure chairs display a lovely tropical design and provide charm and comfort. The ceiling becomes a starry sky at night with fiber optic Star Lights offering unique and romantic lighting affects. French doors open to a covered outdoor dining table that seats 10 adults.
There are four large bedrooms, all decorated with different colors, island themes, and special touches. Each has an oversized walk-in closet, full length mirrors and an ensuite bathroom. Three of the bedrooms have French doors that open to covered outdoor spaces with water views. The fourth bedroom has exceptional garden views. Both second floor bedrooms have private outdoor shower areas with lounge chairs. One bedroom suite has a state of the art bubble producing hot tub designed for relaxation. All bedrooms include high count cotton sateen bed linens, your choice of pillows and blackout shades. The bedrooms have air conditioning, ceiling fans, and flat screen televisions with built in DVDs.
The dramatic second story balcony opens to an outdoor porch that extends the length of the villa. Also on the second floor is a well-stocked library and office. The office contains a leather top desk, copier and fax and provides a fine view of the ocean. Wireless internet may be accessed both inside or out.
Tranquil Tides loggias and decks are spacious and varied. Comfortable Laneventure outdoor wicker is scattered throughout the decks. Your choices will include rockers, cuddle chairs, and a double lounger.
The fresh water infinity pool and heated hot tub both overlook the ocean. Eight lounge chairs surround the pool. Fruit, herb , and flower gardens abound in the surrounding landscaping. You are welcome to enjoy any ripe fruit during your stay. Below the infinity pool, you will find a newly built bocce court surrounded by oleander flowers. Enjoy this timeless game while listening to the waves break on the nearby shoals.
Tranquil Tides is a strong well-constructed villa crafted with carefully chosen materials. Green technology, hurricane glass windows, Anguillian natural stone, Crema Marfil marble, and wood detailing are used throughout. Our villa was conceived as an island home for our family, and was designed by the world renowned Caribbean architect, Carl Richards. It was constructed by the fine Anguillian builder Gene Proctor and his team of craftsmen. Mr. Oris Smith provided beautiful custom cabinetry work and utilized his skills as a local carpenter , boat builder and sailor to craft our lovely bar in the shape of one of his vessels. We are blessed to have developed special friendships with each.
During your stay, you will witness the reds and purples of a tropical sunrise, the brilliant blues of the ocean water, the iridescence of the afternoon glitter on the sea, the pristine white sands of Shoal Bay East, and you will fall asleep to the soft sound of the eternal waves, to the sound of tranquil tides.

Our villa is located in Shoal Bay East, on the “east end” of the island . Some think the “west end ” of the island , with its new development , is a bit more ” trendy “. However, repeat and seasoned travelers enjoy the more traditional east end . It is now well recognized that the east end, including Shoal Bay East and Island Harbour , is home to numerous world class restaurants. Some of the best restaurants on the island are just minutes away from the villa, and some of the most talented chefs on the island have relocated to the east end. The proximity to the white sands of Shoal Bay East and the wonderful restaurants situated nearby makes for a very desirable and convenient island location.
The villa is located one lot back from the Atlantic ocean . This was the ideal setting for our family . We have expansive , unobstructed views of the ocean and beach from the first and second floors , and gentle , steady breezes throughout the villa . One can enjoy the same advantages of being directly on the water without the harsher effects of sea spray and wind. Most importantly, we are an easy walk to the sand at Shoal Bay East .
